Weekly Sketchbook: Unpacking the National Standards

To demonstrate the National Art Core Standards, I illustrated each of them. For Creating, I drew a paintbrush and a pencil. For Presenting, a whiteboard. For Responding, two people in conversation. Finally, for Connecting, I drew a lineup of artwork being presented at an art show. I feel like having students all create their own versions of a particular prompt or big idea is the ultimate connection, especially when this artwork is displayed beside one another.
